Mission & vision

One quarter of all produce goes unharvested. 

At Climate Candy, our mission is to turn imperfect, unharvested produce into delicious, nutritious fruit snacks that are good for people and the planet. 

The fruits and vegetables we use to make FAVES are often left behind because they’re not good-looking enough, so we save them directly from farms and give them a new life as fruit snacks.  We rescue millions of pieces of produce every year.

We are building a supply chain where perfectly imperfect food doesn’t go unharvested, and instead becomes something new, exciting, and enjoyable. 

 

Founder’s story

Our Founder, Amy Keller, knew there had to be a way to combine her passion for the environment and health. When Amy visited the Global Seed Vault in Svalbard, Norway, and saw the back-up seeds of the world being conserved in the face of climate change, she understood the need for innovative solutions to the issues in our food system.

So, in true Amy style, she created FAVES to make a positive, sweet impact on the planet and on people’s lives.
